practice led by zoe bilgeri
zoe is an austrian artist and scenographer based in zurich, szwitzerland
her practice explores hybridity and the shifting boundaries between the natural and the artificial
working with discarded textiles and paper, she develops hybrid surfaces using
plant- and animal-based binders, mineral compounds and natural pigments
oscillating between softness and rigidity these surfaces are taking shape as
hypothetical artefacts, speculative scenographies and light objects
in an increasingly digital world, her works give bodily form to
hybrid realities, opening up new ways of sensing and relating to our surroundings
